Friday August 4

Louis Quinn with Special Guest Kentish Steele

The colourfully costumed Kentish Steele came to Vancouver by way of the West Indies.  He celebrates 54 years in the music business and has been a mainstay of Vancouver’s R&B scene since the 60s.  He performs regularly with his band “The Shantrelles” at venues around town.  With Louie Quinn, Kentish delivers knockout renditions of Motown, blues, and reggae classics.  Fun Fact, Kentish ran for mayor of Vancouver 3 times, although he describes it as more of a “slow crawl”.  A fun show not to be missed!

Friday August 11

Friday August 25

Louis Quinn with Special Guest Alita DuPray

Sultry, smoky, sublime – three  words that don’t begin to do justice to Alita DuPray’s voice.  Alita’s voice projects from the depths of her soul and as a true improviser, she is known for her diversity. Influenced by a dynamic range of music from jazz and blues to reggae, rock, electronica and hip hop, Alita has shared the stage with Jim Byrnes, Diana Krall and Michael Buble. The late Linton Garner deemed her a dynamo of jazz.
