FAQ you asked, we answered.

What are your hours?

We are open Tuesday through Sunday, closed Mondays. Tues through Fri we are open 4pm -1am (last call for food is 12:30am) Fri & Sat we are open until 2am (kitchen closes@1:30) and Sundays we are open 4pm-Midnight.  We typically close for public holidays. We typically stay open for NYE, Halloween, Mother’s & Father’s Day, Good Friday, Thanksgiving & Easter Sundays.

When do you have live music?

We have live boogie piano Tues thru Sat for our ‘Sour Hour’ between 4 and 630pm, and we have evening shows 6 nights a week (closed Mondays) starting between 7 am 8pm.  In the summer we also do Sunday afternoon shows from 3-6pm. We have regular groups who typically fill these spots, but we have occasional guest bands when our regular musicians are on the road or on vacation.  Sundays the Do-Rites play a mixture of folk, old country, & blues, and feature special guest star Kelly Haigh. Tuesdays are rotating feature performers; Wednesday our house band The Rocket Revellers shake it up with texas swing, jump blues, & rockabilly. Thursdays Boogie Woogie Kings Mike Van Eyes & Ocean Jones rip up the ivories for Duelling Pianos, and Friday and Saturday we feature a rotating lineup of guest acts. Shows typically run from 7-11pm, but we recommend calling ahead to check for details on the evening. Reservations highly recommended. Call us at 604-687-4088 to reserve a table with a view of the band. For more info on music, click here.

Do you charge cover?

We add a $2 entertainment cover per guest to your bill. We believe in fair wages for our musicians and 100% of cover goes to the band. We assume the majority of patrons are coming to our venue to enjoy our live shows, but if for any reason you or anybody in your party feel that the music is not your vibe or that the cover is unwarranted, please alert your server and we will happily remove it from your bill.

Can we come for drinks only?

We are zoned as a restaurant and it is illegal for us to accept drinks only reservations. We do have some bar seats available for those who don’t wish to eat. If you are looking for a table with a band view, priority is given to those guests coming for dinner.

Do you accept large group bookings?

We welcome large groups.  Party options at Revel depend largely on your anticipated RSVPs, preferred service style, budget, & desired timeframe.  For general booking information click here.  For more detailed information please fill out the form on our contact page or send an email to eat@revelroom.ca  with your preferred date(s), projected RSVPS, budget (if your event is hosted), and any other relevant specifics and we will respond to your query within 24 hours.

Are you a child friendly restaurant?

We are licensed as a restaurant rather than a bar, so children are perfectly welcome.  We do recommend however that you visit earlier in the evening if you are bringing children as our space does tend to get loud with large groups in the later evening and it is not an ideal environment for small children.

How do I find you and are you near parking/transit

We are located at 238 Abbott St in Gastown between Water & Cordova Streets.  We are a 10 minute walk away from both the Waterfront & Stadium skytrain stations.  Street (metered) parking is available, in addition to a patrolled Easypark lot one block away which is accessible from Cordova or Water Streets.

Do you have a happy hour? Have they changed the laws yet?

Yes we do and thank goodness, the times they are a changing in our fair city. Our happy hour is called the Sour Hour and features a variety of cocktails from the sour family (booze, citrus, sugar) as well as $5 craft pints, boutique wines, and our famous $7 whiskey sour.  Sour Hour features live piano music daily with Mike Van Eyes.
